@BzarrTehAxolotl If you're using Blender 2.79, you can do it:
1 - Go to the "Textures" tab
2 - Scroll down until you find "Image Mapping"
3 - Under Mirror, Set "X" to 2
4 - Change the Viewport Shading to "Rendered" to see the result

for some reason luigi loses one of his eyes and his face stretches when I import into blender... anyone know a fix?

They just cut corners to avoid the mess of blending animations.

Fun fact: the reason why their head are seperate is because they can't move the head attached to its model in game, I'm referring to how they move they heads when they look around. this happens for sm64 and other games aswell.
