@ExoDendrite Yep. And Mario Kart Tour probably has the most amount of polygons in the entire Mario Kart series, even if their models look low poly because them being like, shaded flat

@Random Talking Bush Yeah and even Mario Kart Tour's models, when looking low poly, end up being higher poly than Mario Kart 8's because of those vertex colors, more fully modelled assets, the amount of vertices they bundle up, and probably because their cliffs are like, shaded flat

@Random Talking Bush And it's not just Mario Kart 8. The Mario Kart series in general has had quite the low-poly models. Hell, in Mario Kart 64, they didn't even use models, instead opting for pre-rendered sprites.

I know you probably wont awnser to this but can you rig or rip the standard wheels for the kart? These like yellow rims. Would be amazing

@DatHax: Nope, this is the standard ("LOD0") Standard Kart model. If it was one of its LOD models, it would have either 595 or 397 polygons instead. Mario Kart 8's models are actually surprisingly low-poly compared to, say, Sonic or Crash's recent kart games.

I'd have vastly preferred Kamek over throwing in a few babies/metal clones and moving on to other franchises :/ It's called Mario kart, why not use actual beloved Mario characters. Maybe Odyssey is Pauline's ticket into the next Mario Kart.

What's hilarious is that Kamek was planned before for a Mario Kart and was scrapped back then too.
I don't get why they even bother thinking on it and then just giving up on the idea. Just add Kamek if you at least thought about it for decades.

I just wanted Junior, Birdo, and the rest of the veterans, and of course, Pauline. I would have rather had Baby Wario, since he was already a character!

They didn't have any costumes at first, so maybe they didn't think about it. And they probably think Baby / Metal characters are so freakingly important they need their own character slot.

Maybe Kamek found out they plan that, so he quit and didn't want to appear besides all these clone pests. I can only support him in that decision.

Why did they scrap Kamek for Mario and Peach clones, make more Mario and Peach clones for the DLC, and add characters from different franchises? Poor Kamek.
