Wow, what a year... What do you mean it's only February? Anyway, it's time for another update, and this time it's pretty clear who the MVP is. Thanks to Commander_J_Ducky, we now have a whole bunch of characters, vehicles, and other stuff from two modern Crash Bandicoot games: Crash 4 and Crash Team Racing! Processing them took quite a bit of time, hence why this update is on the smaller side, but it was worth it to get all of these high-quality models up on the site. Other highlights include Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes, Shin Megami Tensei (feat. Sonic from the Sonic the Hedgehog series) and Tower of Fantasy. Be sure to check out the big batch of custom models as well! There's a whole bunch of high-quality ones this time!

For this month's tip, here's something all submitters should keep in mind: you have plenty of time. We have over 8000 submissions, spanning all the way as far back as last May. This means that everyone who submits models has months to iron out the mistakes and create icons. Don't have time to make icons the day you submit them? You can add icons the next day or the next weekend. Don't know how to make good lighting in Blender, or even how to use Blender at all? You have hundreds of afternoons, dozens of weeks, to learn. Even if you're a complete newbie to 3D stuff when you make your submission, I guarantee you can be producing good quality renders by the time it reaches the top of our queue, so long as you try.

I've said it before, but I want to emphasize it again. Preparing a submission takes time. Rendering icons takes time. If a submitter doesn't spend that time to correct mistakes or create icons, then we have to do it for them. And if we have to spend the time, that means everyone else has to wait for us. Or, to put it another way... every minute you spend double-checking the model and rendering good-quality icons is a minute you save the whole community.
