@Rypie The replica sets in all three games use the same texture mapping too despite the polycount improving. (No, the S2, S2:OE and S3 models are different.) Lazy devs or clever reuse you decide, but it lets us use textures across all three games. (SSBU uses a different model entirely.)

@DerpBox That is really interesting! You should compare the vertices and faces in a 3d software, to see if it actually is the same model.

This actually uses the same texture mapping as S1, implying this is a modified S1 model. The player model seems to be a hybrid of Splatoon 2's and Splatoon 1's, and the weapon, headset, and jacket models are the same. Intrestingly, the shoe model is brand new.

Fun fact I just learned: Agent 3's base vest and shoes here are considerably desaturated compared to the Splatoon 1 version/replicas in 2 and 3 (probably showing that they've been on combat/being the unhygienic agent they are). The headphones and hero shot are the exact same as 1 though, minus the goop on the headphones.
