Shadow's Galactic Quest: Episode I
(6)Posted by Peardian - August 3, 2024 - 5:15 PM
Ready for another big update? I'm not! There's some big highlights here, such as Dragon Quest from Boxy and Sonic 4 from DogToon64, not to mention every remaining model from Super Mario Galaxy. By coincidence, we also have some fully-rigged models from the original Shadow the Hedgehog game. There's so much other stuff here, too, from Metal Slug to Coraline and everything in between. Be sure to check out the dozens of new custom models as well, as there are some pretty cool ones here!
For this month's model tip: It's okay for models to overlap. Models can be very complex and have lots of extra parts, some of which exist in the same location. It may not be aesthetically pleasing to see a bunch of hands overlapping each other, but it is ideal for people who want to actually use the model. In fact, moving parts around to look better is often detrimental. Doing this with OBJ models means the pieces lose their origin point and need to be manually returned to their true position. Keep in mind, I'm only talking about the models themselves, not the preview images. Previews often have parts spread out for the sake of visual clarity.
Anyway, enjoy!
