Vehicles with turrets are stored as two separate voxels, one for the base of the vehicle, and one for the turret. Unfortunately I couldn't find any offset information on where the turrets mount onto the vehicles, so I did not rip them. The above rips are of vehicles with non-rotating turrets, those of which are stored as single voxel models. Some vehicles (Aircraft Carrier, Kirov Airship) were too large for MagicaVoxel to import, so I combined the meshes in Blender, but they were not allowed to be uploaded because of the editing.

@Peardian: These are rips directly from the base game / expansion pack. All vehicles in the game are voxel models, not sprites. They are in .vxl format inside the .mix data files (extract with XCC Mixer), and can be opened with VoxelShop. You can convert the voxel format to standard model formats with MagicaVoxel (you may need to flip on the Y-axis). I understand the confusion. Everything else is stored as sprites, such as buildings. Mod creators need to follow the game's architecture, so all mods for the game also use voxels for vehicles and sprites for everything else. The design choice for this was probably to give vehicles 360 degree rotations. Also, some turrets use a combination of sprites and voxels. The voxels are rendered at runtime.

@Mr.Shadow: I did some research into the game, and as far as I can tell, the game uses or supports voxel models to some degree. However, I saw that there are also a lot of fan-made voxel models for the game. If you know the mod(s) these voxel models were taken from, please let us know. We do not allow mod rips, and we would appreciate any help in identifying them so we they can be removed.

I thought units in Red Alert 2 were sprites...

Red Alert 2 is my absolute favorite RTS game ever! Especially in regards of AI skirmish, it's the sweet spot! I hope it get's a remaster as well soon. Earlier, I didn't knew the vehicles in RA2/YR are actually 3D "models" instead of sprites.
