That one was at least partially because they didn't want to be sued by the real-life M(ike) Tyson, who the boxer in the game is based on. But yeah, the "switch around" translation style can be confusing and annoying.

Yeah. I always knew Red as Red and his rival as Green.
Seems a bit weird her name being Blue Green here when I thought most knew her as Leaf.
It's very very confusing.

I have the same issue with Vega, Balrog, and M. Bison in Street Fighter...

@Ayumi Would you happen to be Japanese? They aren't like that in the West. Green became Blue in translation, since the pair released in the West was "Red and Blue."

Basically, in Japan, the rival character is "Green." In the West, he's called "Blue."

As in the intended female playable character for the original, but had to be scrapped due to time constraints. She eventually became Leaf when the remakes came around.
