Anyone else afraid this game will sell so poorly that it will cause the death of the Mario & Luigi subseries? I'm not the only one who fears that, right?

The models aren't hard to rip. I've already ripped Reclusa and while it's not complete enough to post here, it is perfectly suitable for the purposes of posing and rendering, with some manual adjustments to the texture mapping. There's a Blender addon for directly importing .psk models, and the .psa animations can even be converted to smd with Noesis and work flawlessly when imported onto the models in Blender in my experience. The outlines need to be manually re-added using a solidify modifier, until I find out if there's a better solution for that. See here to get started ripping: https://www.gildor.org/smf/index.php?topic=9111.0

As a 3D print and Blender enthusiast, I know that (whenever they get here, and this is not a request) The Extension Corps and Reclusa are gonna be a PAIN to pose without bones. Connie was fine, due to her simplistic design, but with those wires, and cloak and other detailed stuff? just download one of the models from Metroid Other M and pose them to be like the smash 4 trophies using only edit mode for the mesh. Only then will you truly know my pain.

How does the game do the outlines? The models I've downloaded, and those I've ripped, have nothing related to that in their meshes. Is it something you need to reconstruct from scratch to get the appearance they have in-game?

@niliouz *ahem* they aren't here yet for the reasons stated in Centrixe the Dodo's comment at the very bottom.

Wait, so they animated these guys with nothing but shape keys or something to that effect?

Shoutout to "Shapey-Shift Wonder" from the Nintendo Music app and this specific song by Madison Beer for being my soundtrack to ripping these. OBJ for now, as the characters for this game are extra complicated; morphers and multiple UV channels for the eyes and pupils, which are affected by said morphers! Cooking up a way to get 'em with rigs fully working soon.
