Glad to hear it! Just as a precaution, I want to mention that any models ripped from the future PC version should be submitted to the PC console, not the PS5 page here.

looks like this game was just announced for a steam release so it seems like we'll get an easier method of extracting the models quite soon. huge respect to everyone who ripped the models off of the actual ps5 though, amazing work!

correct me if im wrong on this (i dont have the astros playroom files myself, i'm going off the files of all of the other astro bot ps4 games), but all of the astro bot games seem to all run on the same proprietary engine that while you can rip textures and audio from pretty easily, there has no been efforts to figure out the model format

That's pretty apt to have issue as not to proceed with extraction efforts...the technical issues anyway. I can't imagine how chaotic a high-end game like this could be in terms of asset handling and how the engine itself even works. I can barely manage Unity tinkering myself, with some intermediate Unreal Engine knowledge as well. I do respect the work that has been done, and I couldn't ever hope to manage it myself.

As for the "damn furries", while I do have desire to see the main cast including them to be released to some degree, my personal wish for a model is pretty silly, being Mrs. Zurkon due to the novelty of such existing to the degree she does. Figured I'd just go with the Lombaxes since that's what most everyone focuses on, hah. Though Nefarious, both versions, is here, so I'd call it a great result of what's done and done.

And before we end up seeing things here about "the new gen consoles are becoming the death of the ripping scene", that is possibly partially true. Systems like this are an absolute nightmare to contend with for asset extraction of any regard, especially proprietary engines. At the same time, while nobody would have the inclination to try and unravel this sort of thing to completion, there are countless others to explore. Again, I have faith in this community, and the people within who do what they do to contribute effectively.

I apologize if my interactions seemed to be "begging", to Slipsy and whomever else was involved in managing to supply what is now present. I want you and the rest of your associates to know that I, and many others, appreciate what you've done for even just this specific section. It's not everything no, but we're incredibly fortunate to have anything at all.

So, simply, thanks. For real.

okay uh. been trying to formulate a good response to the past few comments for a while and it all sounds stupid so im gonna be blunt. ratchet and rivet arent coming, nor is anyone else, i got bored of this game and its endless jank. everyone else who was working on ps5 ripping got bored before i had even began submitting models for this game so dont expect anything from anyone else either. please dont go nagging other people for the means to rip from this game, i assure you, no matter how determined you are, you arent prepared for the circles of hell you gotta traverse to get anything out of this godforsaken game.

please be thankful for what i did manage to wrangle out of this hell-game, and stop begging for the damn furries :) (that includes dms, thank you, you know who you are)

Ah, not sure where to ask this myself, but an associate of mine has asked whom they should contact in order to acquire the means and resources to extract models from this game themselves for submission here. I don't have an answer myself as to where the resources would be available so I figured I'd mention it here, in case there is such means of contact I can supply them with. I figured it'd be best kept to PM's though presently, which mine are always open yet rarely used.

Wishful thinking, of course, but pretty sure that someone would eventually provide them! Sooner or later, anyway...Not saying it would have to be you, just sayin' that the community in general I don't think would allow for them to never be here, and someone eventually would make attempts.

...I have a lot of faith in the folks here!

kit and clank submitted, though as previously mentioned they're not too pretty. i had to manually repair one mangled texture, that alone taking over an hour, and i have no idea how to approach clank's material setup so his render is messy and his textures aren't split up. still, i guess it's progress. ratchet's still missing textures and rivet has issues regarding her rig and hair so they wont be happening for a while longer.


I'm considering uploading some of the bigger models without their rigs since nobody really has a clue what to do about the broken armatures, though thats really a last ditch thing if i run out of other models to work on. For now i'll probably be taking a skim through civilian models, and actually figure out which ones i do and dont have textures for.

anniversary models wont be for a long long time haha, not without an entirely new ripping method. it's literally impossible for us to get them right now.
