Out of curiosity, are these models rigging weighted 100%? I would also like to know the difference between this and the PC version.

Such an old yet memorable game (I was born 6 years after this came out) however I remember I did get an old GameCube copy to play on my Wii (the Wii, well, specifically my Wii model was able to play GameCube games)

I miss my life

wouldn't Metal Overlord be possible since he's got an in-game model unlike Neo Metal/Plain Metal

@EggsBenedict: Not possible. He doesn't have a model in-game and only appears in pre-rendered cutscenes.

Either way, requests are not allowed in the comments (not like anyone listens).

Anyone else realize that Knuckles, Tails, Amy, Cream and Cheese's models were reused in Sonic Rush as their cutscene dialogue sprites?

@Sonic Konga why does bigs model have curved arms? It wouldve been better if he was in a direct TPose just like the rest lmao

The PS2 version does not "suffer." It plays perfectly fine. This is a misnomer, much like saying that Hyrule Warriors Legends doesn't run on a gen 1 3DS, as it does perfectly fine.

I do have the PS2 version, but I want to know how to rip the models, so I can get some of the level models submitted.

@Sonic Konga

Interesting. I would assume that the PS2 could handle more polygons, since it is capable of 150 million vertices per second, while Gamecube handles 90 million. I guess Nintendo was more technically resourceful when using less powerful components.

Also, I did checked the PC version of that game. Yes, I do found a difference. Admittedly, I didn't checked that before considering there was no Cream model uploaded.

@SamKitsune

Thank you, for the that really good comment! But sorry no, there is a difference, like Sonic, for example, PS2: 1696 faces, Xbox/PC/GC: 2396 faces.

Thanks for the models! In case anyone wants to know, the models for all of the versions are the same, without any alteration with the polycount. Still, it's good that I now got Cream from Sonic Heroes. My Cream 3D model collection may be complete if I have the ones from Sonic Adventure DX, Shadow the Hedgehog, and maybe those two mobile games, but I think they are models that are reused from other games. It's a shame that she isn't going to be in Sonic Forces . . . and I doubt the Avatar can look like her . . .

@shoopdahoop22

Could you show me an article or proof of that? I would like to know and see the proof. 'Cause I looked up the history of Sonic games, including Sonic Heroes, and I did not see such a thing.

@Sonic Konga The reason the PS2 port suffered so badly was because it was rushed and made at the last minute.

The models are otherwise identical to the GameCube/Xbox/PC versions.

Okay... Can you say anything positive on the rips, I worked hard to get these? And the only reason it does, was because Sony had weaker hardware. I'm not mad or anything it's just 'cause it had nothing to do with the models.

The PS2 version suffers from lower resolution textures, a lower framerate and graphical glitches not seen in the Xbox, PC and GameCube versions.
