@FlamingFox i believe they're now called the Grind Shoes, seeing as the Sonic wiki has now changed any mention of the 2G Hi-Speed Shoes to read Grind Shoes

Meanwhile, for the DLC, SEGA/Sonic Team titled them simply "Sonic Adventure 2 shoes".

@Smakkohooves Basically, the shoes that Sonic had in Sonic Adventure 2 are there because SEGA made a deal with a shoe company called "Soap", who make shoes designed for rail grinding, like the rail grinding that's in SA2. Because of this, they're still referred to as "Soap Shoes" in the fandom to this day, though I believe the official name is "Hi-Speed Shoes". I could be wrong about that, though.
