LOD is short for Level of Detail, the mesh swaps to a lower LOD mesh whenever the game needs it to. The usual reason for doing so being: A model being so far away from the camera to the point where it would be a waste of resources to render the fully detailed mesh. why is there 3 idential models for each the body, eyes and pant ? i'll take the body for instance the first one is just named "M_Body" then the 2 others "M_Body (LOD: 2)" and "M_Body (LOD: 3)" what does the LOD mean ? EDIT : i just noticed LOD 2 has less poly, and LOD 3 even less, can someone tell me why ? is it the only difference ? |

Yeah, the HEV Suit here is part of the Gordon Freeman model used to create the promotional art for HL2, with a new UV map and posed, the leaked model sources has version 1 nodes 0 "Gordon" -1 end in the SMD for it. the version used for the HL2 Boxart was included in the HL2 2003 leak almost intact. |

What an odd default pose, is there a name for that? I've never seen that before, only T-poses and A-poses, and maybe some A-poses that get close to this because they have slightly bent elbows, but never whatever this is. |

i think the texture on the stadium itself is wrong, (the blue lines on the stadium and the lack of anything in the center) but at the same time i can't find any traces of the correct one |
